​Do you do commision work?

​I  always produce work to suit my clients requirements and specification.

I am happy to do a site visit and give a free quotation.

I can work from a rough sketch with accurate measurements, or

 I can produce some designs for you if you prefer.​

 

​​Can you restore my existing ironwork?

I can in almost all instances, and if beyond repair I can produce a replica for you.

 

Can you fit the finished work?

I can fit large items such as gates and railings if needed, including using traditional molten lead fitting if required.  For restoration work I can remove and reinstall.

 

Do you have a catalogue?

I don't have a catalogue because each finished piece of work is different, not mass produced. Please see the gallery page for some examples of recent work. 

 

Can you repair other metalware?

I am skilled in a wide variety of welding, brazing and soldering techniques, including lead, brass, cast iron, stainless steel, copper and aluminium.

 

​Which metals do you work with?

I mainly use good quality high carbon mild steel for hand forged work,

I also work with wrought iron, stainless steel, aluminium, lead,

copper, brass and cast iron.
